Questions About Collision Repair

  • What forms of payments are accepted?

We accept all forms of payment to include cash, check, debit and credit cards.  All charges paid by debit or credit card over 2000.00 will be subject to a 3% service charge.

  • How does the payment process work?

All insurance company repairs are processed and paid by check.  If the check is made out to the customer, in order for us to process the payment, all the customer needs to do is sign and present us with the insurance check along with the deductible amount, if applicable.

  • Do I have to see my insurance adjuster before I start the repairs to my car

Absolutely not.  As a matter of fact, we are a direct repair body shop, so if your insurance company is one of our providers for this service, then we can handle the process from start to finish including your estimate, or you can bring your vehicle to us and the adjusters can appraise your vehicle damage at our shop, no problem.

  • I was just involved in an accident, I've contacted all the necessary authorities, but what should I do next?

Just give us a call and we can help guide you through the process, we can help arrange to have your vehicle towed to our repair shop and get you in a rental car.

  • Do I have to get more than one estimate?

You do not have to get more than one estimate!

  • Do I need to schedule an appointment before visiting the repair center?

To ensure that we have enough time to properly assess you vehicle's damage, we encourage you to set up a time to meet with our adjuster to go over all vehicle damages.

  • Is there a warranty on the repairs?

We stand behind our repairs with a life warranty so you don't have to worry about the "what if's".

  • What is a direct repair body shop?

Some insurers will have a signed agreement with repair shops that eliminate the need for an adjuster by allowing the repair facility to write estimates, take photos, help with rental cars, etc. This makes the repair process faster and more efficient.

  • If my vehicle's frame is damaged, is it a total loss?

The short answer is no!  With the advance in technology, frame repair has come a long way over the last few decades.  We can assess the damages with precise measuring tools, pinpoint the weaknesses, and in most cases, straighten and strengthen your damaged frame back to manufacturing specifications.

  • Can I get a ride home when I drop off the car?

Of course!  Let us know when you'll be bringing your vehicle in, and we'll make sure to get you where you need to go.

  • Do I have to pay a deductible?

It depends...if your insurance company is handling the claim and paying for the repairs on your vehicle, you most likely will have a deductible.  If there is another party involved and at fault, you most likely won't have a deductible.  If you still have questions about your deductible, just call us and we'll help you figure it out.

  • Who do I pay my deductible to?

Generally speaking, your insurance company will write you a check for the amount of total damages, less the amount of your deductible.  If your vehicle has 2000.00 in damage, and your deductible is 1000.00, your check will be for 1000.00 and you will be responsible to pay the other 1000.00.  You can sign your check from the insurance company and pay the difference either via cash, check or credit card to us when you pick your vehicle up.

  • What are betterment charges?

When some parts, such as tires, shocks, etc.  have wear due to usage, are damaged in an accident, you may be responsible for the difference in costs between those worn and new parts.

  • Do I have to take my car where my insurance company tells me to?

No, it is entirely up to you who you choose to repair your vehicle.

  • Can I wash my car?

Yes!  Handwashing your car with a mild detergent is recommended, especially for the first month after repairs.  We never recommend car washes that physically touch the paint because they will leave scratches that are difficult and costly to remove.

  • What are supplemental charges?

If we find more damages as we start the repair process, then we will ask the insurance companies for additional repair costs based on these assessments.

We want to make sure there are no questions unanswered.
If you have questions, give us a call and we'll do our best to provide further information.
